We’re so excited to introduce you to the Booker family, and announce the plan for the 2020 event! We can all agree that 2020 has been a different year, and God has been faithful through it all.
The Bookers were selected by the Adoption is Love committee to be the recipients of the 2020 event. The event was set for the end of March, when the pandemic hit, and our state went into lockdown with the rest of the nation. We so desperately wanted to have an in-person event that we attempted to wait out the lockdown.
A couple of weeks ago, the Bookers received a call that they had been chosen to bring home a precious, little boy, Elijah Lawson.
With our state continuing to request social-distancing and limiting the amount of people at gatherings, we decided to move to a virtual setting for this year’s event.
We believe that God is faithful. He has proved that, without necessity, during this pandemic, and especially to the Bookers as they patiently waited for a child. We are trusting that God has His hand on this event as we host it virtually.
You are invited to attend our virtual event on Friday, August 28th, 2020 from 6-8pm. The private auction will open on Thursday, August 27th at 6pm and close at the completion of the live event on Friday.
We’re excited for you to hear from Deanna Jewell, Senior Director of Health and Client Services, with The Pregnancy Network, and Anna Hopper, wife of Andrew Hopper, Executive Pastor of Mercy Hill Church, and adoptive mother. Hannah Hagans will be giving an often overlooked perspective, the perspective of an adoptee.
